Ritu Beri – Bridal Collection
Among the most popular of the many Ritu Beri collections over the years, the designer’s bridal and wedding fashion line is globally recognized as being something unique.
With colors and styles that are truly magnetic, alluring, yet comfortable, the Indian designing icon continues stressing on block prints with much critical and commercial success.
By mixing colors, the designer’s bridal collections are anything but ordinary. Beri, while retaining the traditional styling of Indian wedding fashion, has redefined the sensuality possible with bridal wear.
Ritu’s bridal collections includes zardozi, badhni, and chikan work that is native to India. When combined with Indian wedding designs, the final product is both, stunning and astonishing to the senses.
Heavily ornamented with some extensive work including some zari, embroidery, and thread work, Beri’s bridal designs reverberate a sense of ever-lasting romance, couples with permeating nostalgia.

Ritu Beri – Lehengas Collection
The lehengas that form an integral part of Ritu Beri’s fashion designs are characteristically adorned with heavy embroidery work, along with extensive use of stone, and other ornaments.
With her special eye for detail, Beri creates dresses and suits that aren’t just gorgeous to the eye of the beholder, but they are also a treat for whomsoever lucky enough to wear them.
In fact, Ritu is also credit to introducing the general public to lehenga sarees. With collections that included zari, mirrors, stones, zardosi, kundan, and pearls, the designer won accolades from all quarters of the fashion world.
Of special note was her ability to romanticize the bygone era, while retaining the intrinsic humane condition of looking towards the future. By lending them a contemporary touch, the lehengas marked the passing on of Indian fashion towards a trend where no one style is dominant.
Ritu Beri – Salwar Kameez Collectin
Aside from her refined sense in designing bridal and wedding fashion, this designer is a known figure for styling the traditional Indian salwar kameez.
Her impressive collection of salwar suits, which were made out of crepe and crepe-blended fabrics, were at the time unparalleled.
As with many of her other designs, the heavy use of embroidery and western-styled cuts, were hailed at the perfect fit and style for the increasingly modern contemporary Indian woman who still loves the salwar kameez.
Ritu Beri – Sarees
Taking somewhat of a departure from her other collections, the designer’s sarees are characterized by an urban chic appeal, that is defined by the extensive use of lines, ruffles and pleats.
By using fabrics that are soft to the touch, accompanied with designs that are equally eye-catching as they are classy, the designer’s sarees are lent an edge rarely seen with this traditional Indian attire.
Other collection by this designer include a children-only line aptly titled Baby Beri. Launched by Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, this line caters to kids to want to exhibit some style along with their minor status.
Another prominent line among the many Ritu Beri collections was the zari-enriched garments she displayed along with her Autumn/Winter collection of 2010.
The dresses seen here were a tribute to the bravery of the Indian soldiers. Ritu showcased a dynamic range of military-inspired jackets and coats with gold embroidery on colors characteristic to the army.
