Given every Indian’s obsession with cricket, it doesn’t come as a big surprise that many are interested to know more about the Sachin Tendulkar house at Bandra, Mumbai. Here are some photos, pictures, and words about the house where the legendary cricketer resides.
The master blaster has long cherished his dream of building his own home from scratch. Back in 2008, the best batsman of our times, purchased an old villa near Carter Road, which in situated in suburban Mumbai in Bandra West.
If reports are to be believed, Tendulkar purchased the Dorab Villa from its owner, listed as the “Satra Group”, for a reported sum of an astounding Rs. 35 crore.
Vijay Satra, who is the brother of managing director Praful Satra, has confirmed the purchase of the villa by the living cricketing legend.
The Dorab Villa has originally built in the 1920s, and its original occupants were a Parsi family named the Wardens. The house has one storey, and measures around 9,000 square feet. The property covers a good 10,000 square feet in total.
Sachin spent many years residing at Sahitya Sahawas in Bandra East, before he shifted to Bandra West in 2001.

This is a living room fit for somebody grounded, mature, and experienced. Carrying the vibrancy along, the colors seen in the celebrity’s home are eye-catching, yet calming.

Sachin’s home has a yellow sofa, with a glass center-table. It’s perfect for guests, and family. Settled in the midst of the interior garden, this is one “wild” sofa set.

This is where the world’s most skilled cricketing star sits back, and watches some TV with his wife, and kids. This innovative design may seem absurd to most of us, but hey, if Sachin Tendulkar likes it – we can’t complain.
The serpent-like fixtures in this home seems oddly out of place, but then again, it is a house shaped like a shell that we’re talking about here. This is undoubtedly among the most disturbing bathrooms in the world.
The kitchen in the famous Sachin Tendulkar house is undoubtedly very neat, and stylish. The stove, as shown in the picture, is electrical.
As one can notice, the kitchen, as shown in the picture, is very sparse, and minimalistic.
